PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING

The following Terms & Conditions apply to all travellers participating in the Lamu Group Trip acknowledge that you meet the minimum age required, have read, understood, and accepted these. Terms & Conditions, and are entering an  agreement with On The Go Explorers. OTGE reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.

1. Eligibility

• • This trip is open to travelers 12 years and above.

  • Participants aged 12–17 years are treated as adult travelers in terms of accommodation, pricing, and itinerary participation.

  • All travelers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

  • The parent/guardian is fully responsible for the minor’s safety, behavior, supervision, and well-being throughout the trip.

2. Group Quorum (Minimum Participants)

• A minimum of 6 confirmed travellers is required for the trip to run with a host accompanying the group.

• If the minimum number is not met by February 2026, OTGE reserves the right to:

  • Offer the trip as unhosted (self-guided with local guides),

  • Reschedule the trip to a later date,

  • Or cancel the trip and issue refunds according to the cancellation policy.

• Travellers will be notified immediately once quorum is determined.

3. Payment Terms

• A non-refundable deposit of 15000/-  is required to secure your spot.

• The balance must be paid by the specified deadline. Failure to complete payment may result in automatic cancellation of your booking with no refund of the deposit.

• Prices are subject to change due to supplier rate adjustments, fuel surcharges, or villa pricing changes. Travellers will be informed should any adjustments occur.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Traveler-initiated cancellation:

• Deposit is non-refundable.

• Cancellations 30+ days before departure: 50% of the balance is refundable.

• Cancellations 14–29 days before departure: 25% refund of the balance.

• Cancellations 0–13 days before departure: No refund.

OTGE-initiated cancellation:

• If OTGE cancels due to quorum not being met or unforeseen operational reasons, travelers will be offered:

  • A full refund,

  • Or transfer to another departure date.

• OTGE is not responsible for any additional costs incurred (e.g., flights, personal expenses).

Supplier Payments Clause (Overrides OTGE’s Refund Policy):

Once OTGE has made payments to third-party suppliers, including villas, boat operators, activity providers, and local service partners, their individual cancellation and amendment policies will take full precedence, regardless of OTGE’s refund policy.

• Any refund or partial refund will follow the supplier’s rules.

• OTGE will not be liable for penalties or non-refundable amounts imposed by suppliers.

• Travellers will be notified when supplier payments have been made and this clause becomes active.

5. Itinerary & Activity Modifications

The itinerary may be adjusted due to tides, weather, sea conditions, villa availability, cultural events, or safety considerations. Such changes do not constitute grounds for refunds. Lamu is an island destination and depends heavily on marine logistics; delays may occur.

6. Traveler Responsibilities

• Travellers are responsible for ensuring they are fit to travel and to participate in the trip’s activities.
• Respect for local culture, community norms, and fellow travellers is mandatory.
• Travellers must follow instructions provided by the host, villa staff, guides, boat captains, and security personnel.

7. Transport, Delays & Island Logistics

• Transfers to and within Lamu will involve flights and boats.

• OTGE is not liable for delays caused by tides, weather, or operational issues of third-party transport providers.

• Travelers arriving late for scheduled transfers may incur extra costs.

8. Accommodation & Rooming

• Accommodation is in villas, which will include double beds, shared spaces, and shared bathrooms depending on villa layout.
• Room allocations are based on the villa structure and availability.
• Solo travellers will be paired with another solo traveler of the same gender, depending on the villa setup. If not possible, a price adjustment may apply.
• Special rooming requests cannot be guaranteed.

9. Liability

• OTGE is not responsible for:

  • Loss, theft, or damage to personal items,

  • Injury or illness during the trip,

  • Acts of nature, or actions of third-party service providers.

• Travellers participate at their own risk and are strongly encouraged to have personal travel/medical insurance.

10. Use of Photos & Videos

• By joining the trip, travellers consent to OTGE capturing photos/videos for marketing purposes unless written notice is given before the trip begins.

11. Code of Conduct

• OTGE maintains a zero-tolerance policy for:

  • Harassment,

  • Disrespectful behaviour

  • Excessive intoxication,

  • Violence or threatening behavior.

• Violation may result in removal from the trip without refunds.

12. Agreement

By paying the deposit and securing your spot, you acknowledge that you have read, fully understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
